About a year and a half ago, I said that I wasn’t a fan of Gibson Explorers or any Explorer-looking guitars for that matter. It just didn’t appeal to me. But something’s changed. I actually like them now (not enough to buy one though). I think it’s a psychological thing. I’ve subconsciously made a connection with the instrument and all the girls who play them. Just think about it. Klara Force, Lita Ford, Allison Robertson, Lzzy Hale… Four girls I look up to play(ed) an Explorer. No wonder.
